Kendall County Fire Marshal Office
The Kendall County Fire Marshal’s Office is under the direction of Jeffery Fincke. The office has one full time person, Head of a Department, Fire and Arson Investigator, two part time Inspectors and Fire and Arson Investigators. All members are Certified Fire/Arson Investigators, Licensed Peace officers and two part time are also Certified Fire Inspectors.
Our office is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible for fire investigations, fire inspections and fire code enforcement within the unincorporated areas of Kendall County.
Our goal is to provide Kendall County effective leadership, coordination and support for fire suppression and prevention programs within the county and to reduce life and economic losses due to fire and related emergencies and property losses from disasters.
The Fire Marshal works with Kendall County Fire Chief’s and their departments to protect firefighter and evaluate fire and life safety issues. We provide a main server and FireHouse Software to six of the seven fire departments for fire reporting. The Fire Marshal coordinates the Quarterly Fire Chief’s meeting that is hosted by a different department on a rotating schedule each meeting date. This office serves as the liaison between the Kendall County Commissioners Court and the seven fire departments that provide coverage in the unincorporated areas of Kendall County. We continue to work closely with the Boerne Police Department Dispatch Center and the County 911 system to insure that proper information is available to notify the fire departments.
