Development and Floodplain Management  

Kendall County is dedicated to the safety and welfare of all Kendall County residences. The completion of all permit applications ensures that regulations set forth by the governing entities are in compliance with all standards. Property owner or assigned designated agent can obtain all required applications.


Development Permit Application

A Development Permit is required to proceed with any property development and the issuance of septic or well permits.  

Development Permit Applications may be obtained from the Development Management Office or click here  to download form.

The 911 Rural Address and Access/Driveway Permit must be issued before you can obtain a Development Permit.

Development Permit Fee: $100.00/Residential, $500.00/Commercial

If development is located in the Light MIA Zone 2, click here for permit application. Application fee: Residential n/c, Commercial $300 cash or check payable to Kendall County. Click here  for Kendall County Order No 11-27-2017B & boundry map. If commercial development : site/detention plan must be turned in to Development Management for approval.

Property Restrictions, if any, in unincorporated areas are recorded on the deed filed at the County Clerk's office. You can contact the Clerk's office at 830-331-8233 with any questions.

Any division of property that occured after 5/13/1996 not located in a platted/recoreded subdivision will require an Affidavit of Land Location per Court Order #96-0550 click here for sample. *NOTE: Physical address change may occur due to any division of property.
