Kendall County is accepting job applications for the following positions:  

Deputy Sheriff: This position is to enforce laws and ordinances in order to maintain peace and public safety within Kendall County.   To download the job description click here.   

Part Time Deputy Sheriff:  The work schedule for the part time position will fluctuate weekly as needed.  To download the job description click here.  

Fleet Mechanic II:  The purpose of the position is to ensure proper maintenance and repair of County vehicles and equipment for efficient and safe use.  Employees in this classification are responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance and lubrication of County equipment and vehicles. To download the job description click here.

Experience and Training

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by five years of previous experience or training that includes office management.

Licenses and Certifications
No licenses or certifications are required for this position.

Road Maintenance Worker I:  Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform a variety of general road maintenance duties. To download the job description click here.

Experience and Training
Formal education that includes addition and subtraction and reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary; supplemented by three months of previous experience or training that includes road construction, work zone safety, and motorized equipment operation.

Licenses and Certifications
Must be able to obtain a valid commercial class A driver’s license with endorsement N, a health card or a P endorsement.

For this position the individual would be working at the Kendalia Road & Bridge Yard located at 1133 Hwy 3351 North.

Court Reporter: Under the direction of the District Judge, the purpose of the position is to attend, report, and maintain a verbatim record of court proceedings as directed by the court. To download the job description click here.

Experience and Training
Associate’s degree or equivalent training; supplemented by one (1) year previous experience or training in court reporting functions. 

Licenses and Certifications
Must possess and maintain a current Court Reporter license from an accredited court reporting school.

Deputy District Clerk II: the purpose of the position is to assist District Clerk in carefully maintaining and arranging the records related to or lawfully deposited in the clerk’s office.  Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a variety of office tasks including filing documents in court files, preparing new folders for civil, family law cases, felony cases, making copies, and preparing notification of final orders.  To download the job description click here.
