Outdoor Burning Rules and Information

This page contains information with regards to Outdoor Burning, below are the Texas Commission on Environmental Quaility ( T CEQ) and the Texas Administrative Code rules for outdoor burning.  Please take the time to review this information before burning outdoors.

The Fire Marshal's Office asks that if you plan on burning you check to make sure there is not a Burn Ban in place at the time you are burning.  Burn ban information can be found on the front page of this County Web Site.  If there is no burn ban in place and you are going to burn we ask that you contact the Dispatch Communication Center at (830)249-8645 and advise the dispatcher of the following information.

Your Name
Address of the Burn
Phone number where you can be contacted while burning

When you call and advised that you are going to burn, you may be told that the Fire Marshal recommends that burning not be conducted today due to current weather conditions.
